Alice in Motorland by Horace M. Wyatt, with illustrations by Charles R. Sykes, published by The Car-Illustrated Ltd. of Piccadilly Mansions, 75 Shaftesbury Avenue, London W. in 1904 as No. 1 of 'The Car Magazine Series'. Charles Robinson Sykes (1875–1950) was at this point the illustrator for The Car-Illustrated magazine; seven years later, in 1911, he created the Spirit of Ecstasy mascot for Rolls-Royce, which remains in production today. The book is a motoring parody of Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland, and is of considerable interest to collectors of both pioneer motoring literature and Rolls-Royce memorabilia.
