An account of the 1907 Peking-Paris motor race, in which five cars set out from Peking across the Gobi Desert, Central Asia and Russia to reach Paris — won by Prince Scipione Borghese in an Itala. Allen Andrews reconstructed the event from original sources fifty-seven years after it took place. This copy retains its original dust jacket, designed with period photographs and route map.
